Klondike-style Solitaire in your pocket, wherever you and your iPod Touch or iPhone happen to be.

Featuring Vegas scoring rules and cumulative statistics, WaffleTurtle Vegas Solitaire allows you to try and beat the house whenever you have a few minutes available to play a hand or two.

Play 3-cards per draw, the Vegas way, or switch to 1-card per draw for an extra challenge.

Rules

The game is played with a standard 52-card deck, without jokers. You are dealt seven columns (“tableu piles”) of cards face down, except for the bottom card in each column which is upturned. The left column has 1 card, the next has 2, the next 3, etc.

There are four “foundations” at the top of the screen. Your job is to build each foundation upward, starting at Ace, in suit. In other words, on the foundation you may play the two of clubs only on the ace of clubs.

You build the tableu piles downward, alternating in color. For example, a three of diamonds can be played on a four of clubs or a four of spades. If a tableu is empty, you may move a King (or a pile of cards with a King at the top) into it.

If you play “3-at-time,” three cards are dealt to the “waste” each time you click the pile. You may go through the deck three times. If you play “1-at-a-time,” you can go through the deck only once.

Each hand costs you $52 (fake money, of course!) Each card you move to the foundations wins you back $5.

Game Play

To deal cards to the “waste” pile, tap the deck. If the deck is empty, tap the empty spot and, depending on whether you are playing 1-at-a-time or 3-at-a-time you may be able to reset the deck.

To move cards, tap and drag them. To move some or all of a pile, tap and drag the top card; the rest will follow. When you release your finger, the appropriate set of cards will move to their new position.

You may also double-tap cards to move them (or a pile) to an appropriate location automatically.
